Mixed Media Artist

Hiroshi Yamada is a mixed-media artist who explores the liminal space between presence and absence, memory and materiality. Through his cross-disciplinary practice, he expresses how traces of lived experience accumulate in layers of texture and form. He has lived in Düsseldorf, Germany, since 1989 and won the Grand Prix at the "Salon de Confluent" in Conflans, France, in 1996. He is currently based in Atami.

山田弘司は、存在と不在、記憶と物質性の狭間に広がる境界領域を探求するミクストメディアアーティストです。素材を横断する作品制作を通じて、生きた経験の痕跡が質感と形の層に積み重なる様を表現します。1989年よりドイツ・デュッセルドルフに在住し、1996年にフランス・Conflansの「Salon de Confluent」にてグランプリを受賞しました。現在は熱海を拠点に活動しています。
